This gin is made using New Zealand Grape Spirit which is distilled by us using the pot stills and batch rectification stills resulting in a 96% + abv. It is then blended with Waiwera Artesian Water and filtered through a gravity fed activated coconut charcoal system, which helps take the alcohol flavor away and bring out the original flavors of the raw ingredient. It is then blended with natural and organic botanicals that are sourced locally whenever possible. Mahurangi Gin is a nod to the traditional Gins of England using modern ideas and innovative techniques. It is dry in style with a silky mouthfeel and pleasant juniper and herbal notes.
